Dye some fondant red, roll into a tube shape, cut in 3 pieces
Roll 3 in the shape of round balls and one oblong.
Cover in plastic sleeve and press to flatten
Roll the oblong first. This will become the center of the flower (roll fairly tight)
Gently wrap the flat "pedals" (overlapping slightly) around the center piece.
Continue adding flat pieces until all 3 are around the center.
Slightly press outwardly each "pedal", cut excess from bottom & set to dry.
Dye some green fondant, roll flat, cut in the shape of a leaf. Then using a knife, cut indentations to look like leaves.
I made a plate for each guest and used frosting in a squeeze tube to make hearts and write their names. You can prepare plates 4-5 days in advance.
