Dye some fondant red, roll into a tube shape, cut in 3 pieces |
Roll 3 in the shape of round balls and one oblong. |
Cover in plastic sleeve and press to flatten |
Roll the oblong first. This will become the center of the flower (roll fairly tight) |
Gently wrap the flat "pedals" (overlapping slightly) around the center piece. |
Continue adding flat pieces until all 3 are around the center. |
Slightly press outwardly each "pedal", cut excess from bottom & set to dry. |
Dye some green fondant, roll flat, cut in the shape of a leaf. Then using a knife, cut indentations to look like leaves. |
I made a plate for each guest and used frosting in a squeeze tube to make hearts and write their names. You can prepare plates 4-5 days in advance. |
